Folks -- Probably like some of you, we weren't in time to score tickets for the Gala Banquet on SUnday evening, and have been considering other options. So...who's for a Klatchian? (More or less.)

Peter and I were thinking that on Sunday evening it would be fun to get together with a big bunch of old friends, new friends, and friends-we-haven't-met-yet, round up a batch of cabs, and set forth into Birmingham in search of, well, something suitably/regionally Ethnic. Ideally, this would mean Balti / Indian / generic Eastern / what have you. If you want to come along, we'd love your company!

Once we get a sense of how many people are interested, that'll be the time to figure out via poll or other form of consensus where everybody would be interested in going. We'll act as expediters, set the booking up with whatever restaurant, etc. (Possible contenders are such places as Adil Balti & Tandoori [http://www.adilbalti.co.uk/index.html], Grameen Khana [http://www.grameenkhana.com/], Imran's Restaurant & Sweet House [http://www.imrans.com/], or Jyoti's [http://www.jyotis.co.uk/].) Obviously the price of everybody's meal is their own business/responsibility, but we would be looking for a place that (as the Knights of Ni say) would be Not Too Expensive. Cab fares would also be the individual diners' affair, but again we'll act as cab wranglers in terms of coordinating enough transport to the assembly point to get everyone to dinner and back again afterwards.

Theoretical dinner time would run from 8 PM to 10ish -- cabs would (ideally) head back to the con around 10:15.
